Enlarged BGMA NRD Phase Areas Map
The Bazile Groundwater Management Area incorperates area in 4 different NRDs: Lewis and Clark, Lower Elkhorn, Lower Niobrara, and Upper Elkhorn. Each NRD has established rules & regulations for their district. In those rules & regulations are what are called trigger levels which are based on township nitrate sampling results. The table shows the trigger levels for each of the NRDs in the BGMA. As of now only the Lower Elkhorn NRD has defined Phase 4 in their rules & regulations.Each NRD has different rules & regulations for operation in phase areas. Phase Level in BGMA: 3
Phase Report
Phase Report Deadline: March 1st
Nitrogen Certification required for operators in Phase 3 areas.
Lower Elkhorn NRD
Phase Level in BGMA: 1,2,& 3
Phase Report Deadline: March 15th
Nitrogen Certification required for operators in Phase 2 & 3 areas.
Lower Niobrara NRD
Phase Level in BGMA: 2
Phase Report Deadline: December 31st
Nitrogen Certification required for all operators.
Upper Elkhorn NRD
Phase Level in BGMA: 3
Phase Report Deadline: December 31st
Nitrogen Certification required for all operators.
